About me

Before becoming a professional coach, I was a securities lawyer for over 30 years. After graduating from law school, I moved back to my hometown of San Francisco, where I was a corporate and litigation lawyer at two large law firms before moving to Washington, D.C. and SEC Enforcement. From there I practiced in law firms large and small, as well as in my own solo securities practice. I taught at a national law school, worked as a mediator and arbitrator and retired as a Hearing Officer for FINRA. During that time, in the course of raising two children and moving around the country, I worked full-time, part-time and occasionally no-time. After ten years as a FINRA Hearing Officer, I retired from law. Volunteering for The Trevor Project’s Lifeline led me to obtain a master’s in social work and a new career as a therapist and now, coach.

I am based in Washington, D.C. but work with clients from around the country via Zoom. I also travel frequently to New York and San Francisco and (Covid protocols permitting) can meet with clients for our first session in person when I’m in one of those cities.
