Rochelle Hall is a Certified Professional Coach, a former lawyer and therapist, who specializes in helping lawyers achieve their personal and professional goals to create their best lives.
Whether you’re a professional athlete, high-performing corporate CEO, or opera singer, everyone can benefit from having a coach.
Whether you want to change the way you work, position yourself to move into leadership in your firm, leave the practice of law, or discover a new passion, coaching can help you achieve your goals.
I also provide leadership development to help you become a better mentor, coach and leader to your team.
Practicing lawyers know they need to generate business, but either don’t know where to begin or get pulled away by more pressing demands. I can help you create a business development plan and help hold you accountable to following it.

As a therapist, I focused primarily on my clients’ past experiences and deepest thoughts and emotions to understand and help with their current difficulties.
As a coach, I listen as deeply as a therapist, but I am focused more on how the past impacts the future. So, while my clients often discuss their past experiences and emotions, our sessions are more forward-looking and action-oriented than therapy.
On a practical level, this means that coaching does not usually (though it may) go on indefinitely. Most of my clients find that they are able to achieve their goals within three to six months of coaching sessions. Some return to coaching when they have a particular issue in their work or personal lives that they’d like help with.
Unlike my former roles as a lawyer or therapist, as a coach I am not the expert—my client is. You are the expert in your own life story, circumstances, goals and dreams. My job as a coach is to listen and to ask questions that inspire you to think deeply.
Research shows that the most long-lasting change is achieved when it is self-motivated and self-generated.
As your coach, I can provide an informed, outside perspective to help you discover your own motivations, answers, and goals—as well as internal and external obstacles that may be preventing you from moving forward. I will be your confidante, sounding-board, co-strategist, advisor, and cheerleader. I will work with you to formulate a plan of action to reach your goals. And I will help hold you accountable for achieving each step of your plan.
Because of my many years of experience in law, and as a therapist, I understand what most lawyers go through as they attempt change. I can help with ideas, brain-storming and occasionally, advice. But you are the master of your own plan.
I can also provide and interpret strengths, personality, emotional intelligence and other assessments. Using these tools, I can help you understand your strengths as well as areas that you may want to develop. Assessments are also useful for leadership development and business generation plans.
Many lawyers at the end of their careers have worked so hard at law for so many years that they have almost no idea of what they want to do next. Others have an idea but need help making their dreams a reality.
If you don’t know what you want to do after your legal career, I can help you discover your true passion, perhaps by unburying some long-forgotten dream. If you know what you want to do but can’t seem to move forward, I can help you get unstuck and formulate a plan to achieve your dream.
